Obituary

Irma Mirta Maria Luttati, much beloved wife and mother, of West Nyack, New York and Hobe Sound, Florida passed away on December 8, 2015 at home with her family.

Born February 12, 1930 in New York City, she was an accomplished pianist, who as a teenager played at Carnegie Hall and on the radio. Upon graduating from Cathedral High School, Irma attended secretarial school before becoming an executive legal secretary in the legal department at Macy's flagship store in Herald Square handling patents and trademarks. On September 12, 1959, after a two year courtship, Irma married James Thomas Joseph Luttati, who rose to become Sergeant of Detectives in the New York Police Department before retiring.

Irma, who will forever be missed beyond words, is survived by her devoted husband Jim of 56 years, and their children, Carol, an attorney in New York City, and David, a prime time associate producer for Fox cable news channel in New York City.

The wake will be at the joseph W. Sorce Funeral Home, Inc. in West Nyack. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Anthony's Shrine Church in Nanuet on sat. Dec. 12 at 10:00am, followed by burial at St. Anthony's Cemetery.
