Obituary

Richard Allen Crossley, 77, of Gouldsboro, died Tuesday, January 5 at Geisinger Community Medical Center. He was the husband of Marion (Gwynn) Crossley and they were married for 43 years.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Harry and Marie (Gill) Crossley. He graduated from Jules E. Mastbaum Area Vocational Technical in Philadelphia and was a military police officer in the U.S. Army. Prior to retiring, Richard worked at SKF Group as a machinist. He was a past member of the Improved Order of the Red Men and was currently a member of Gouldsboro United Methodist Church. Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing with his children.

In addition to his wife, Marion, Richard is survived by his children: Richard Allen Crossley Jr, Robert Anthony Crossley Sr, Robert Richard Blackney Jr. and Beth Anne Young; his grandchildren: Michael, Robert, Christopher, Ryelle, Robert Jr, Tagen, Angus and Sanga; 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death 6 brothers and 1 sister.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 9 at 1:00 pm at Gouldsboro United Methodist Church, 495 Main St. in Gouldsboro. Military honors will be rendered following the service and interment will be private.

Viewing will be from 11:00 am until the time of the service on Saturday at the church.
