Tyrone Williams
February 08 1954 - May 21 2016 - Age 62
Obituary

Tyrone Williams was born on February 8, 1954 to Shirley “Red” Williams and Peggy Williams in Detroit, Michigan. He was the fifth child born to this union. Tyrone was a naturally gifted vocalist and musician. He had a beautiful singing voice and taught himself to play the guitar and piano. Shortly after graduating from Mackenzie High School, as most young men did at that time, Tyrone formed a group with his buddies, Jerome and Doug. Little did his family and friends know that Tyrone would go on to have a professional singing career. As a young man, Tyrone left Detroit and began singing professionally with the gospel group, THE FANTASTIC VIOLINAIRES. Tyrone traveled around the country for a number of years until he was diagnosed with a mental illness that forced him to stop. Although he had to quit singing professionally, his love for music never stopped nor did his love for God.

Tyrone celebrated his 62nd birthday this past February. He lived a very long life to have had a chronic illness for so many years.

He was called to eternal rest on Saturday, May 21, 2016. His parents, Shirley and Peggy Williams; sister, Sylvia; and his nephew, Howard, precede him. He leaves to cherish his memory his siblings, George II, Deborah (Johnny), Janet, Philipa, Sherman, April (Harold), and Maria (Carlton); nieces and nephews, George III, William, Michael, Abdul, Erica, Jamaal, Howard (deceased), Daniel, Arron, Jaqueline, Anjan’ae, Carlton Jr., Amanda, Sheldon, Michelle, and Sherman; and great nieces and nephews, Amber, Kiari, Siyan, Eric, Gabrielle, Justin, Kimber, Troy, Carlton III, Caleb, Jonathan, Sarai, Saadia, Mikayla, Kailani, William III, and Sherine
