Carolyn M Anderson
September 22 1942 - July 23 2016 - Age 73

Carolyn was called home to heaven to be with her Brother Peter, her Mother Anna, and Father Oscar. Carolyn was a world traveler going to places from Africa to the Galapagos Islands. She was always planing her next adventure. It was because of this that she discovered her other passion, photography.

She amassed thousands of photographs from her travels. She won awards for her photo's as will as having a professional showing of many of them. Through out her life she worked in industries mostly run by men and held her own with the best of them. She was a certified pilot and scuba diver, a reflection of her love for the ocean and flying free.At times it seemed nothing could ever slow her down or stop her. Mom lost her fight with cancer on July 23rd, she passed away peacefully in her sleep. She is survived by her son David, daughter Judi, and 5 grandsons Anthony,Andrew,Aaron,Adam, and Alex. She had 4 Great Grand children and many other loving family members. Carolyn was a force to be reckoned with to the end. She will be greatly missed.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Sept.10th at Kencaid's Restaurant, 500 Fishermans Wharf Redondo Beach Ca. 90277. Starting at 1:00pm. Mom didn't want a formal service she wanted friends and family to get together at the beach and remember her. If you plan to attend we need an RSVP from you before to give the restaurant a head count.

Condolences to all of my beloved friend Carolyn's family. We lost a brilliant, lovely, and wonderful person. We've known one another for years here at Del Amo M H Estates. We went through many tough times, my husbands illness and passing and /Carolyn's family members and friends, but she always kept going forward. She helped many folks that needed a place to stay and loved having people around. She called the week before she passed and was so upbeat and her voice so strong... am glad she's finally RIP, with her beloved family. I shall miss her. Sorry for your loss.
