James Stanleye Breithaupt

James Stanleye Breithaupt passed away on March 6, 2017 in Riverside, California. He was born on January 2, 1931 in Los Angeles, California to Norris and Dorothy (Cox) Breithaupt.

Jim proudly served his country from 1951 to 1953 in the United States Army where he was trained as an Instructor in Camp Carson, Colorado to teach skiing and mountain climbing to the Airborne Troops in Northern Japan. This was an extremely vital assignment during the Korean War.

Jim loved mechanics, electronics, and marketing. During his working career he marketed swimming pools, special machine tools, motor cycles, fuel pellets, computers and software.

In his spare time he loved music, home electronics, boats, and spending time at the Colorado River. Most of all he loved his family and all family gatherings and spending time with the family at the summer home in Lake Elsinore.

Jim was an avid reader and computer enthusiast and used his knowledge well to counsel his family and grandchildren.

Jim is survived by his wife Robin Rice Breithaupt, brother Charles Breithaupt, sister Patricia Lawson, son Mark, daughters Cheryl and Charlene, grandchildren Christopher, Kimberly, and Matthew, daughter-in-law Teresa, son-in-law Ron, brother-in-law Bill sister-in-law Pat and step sons Jeff and Michael.

Memorial graveside service will be on Friday March 24, 2017 at the Riverside National Cemetery at 1:15 P.M. Immediately following the service there will be a celebration of life at their home. 6067 Ave Juan Diaz, Riverside, California 92509.
