David J Tuohey
September 05 1957 - January 15 2003 - Age 45

David J.Tuohey died January 15, 2003. An Army veteran of 10 years service from 1976 thru 1986, he served proudly in the United States and Germany as a military policeman and intelligence analyst, progressing to the rank of staff sergeant. He earned his jump medal at Paratrooper School, attended French Commando School and earned the Army Commendation Medal among other awards. During the American Bicentennial year in Germany, David marched at ceremonies in several countries as a member of the celebrations designated color guard, attired in the uniform of a Continental Soldier.

An avid skier, fisherman and outdoors-man, he rode his mountain bike over trails throughout the Capital District. David was a member of the Schenectady Pipe Band and enjoyed participating in groups marching and playing performances throughout the Northeast.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs Hugh Tuohey of Delmar; two brothers, Daniel also of Delmar and Dennis of Detroit, MI; a sister, Mary Reopell and her husband Craig of Manlius, NY; two nieces, Kristen and Margaret Mary Reopell and a nephew, Michael Reopell.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 9AM in St James Church. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at thee Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. on Sunday from 4-7 PM. Internment will follow the mass in our Lady of Angels Cemetary, Colonie.
